Summer BBQ Party Recipes
I feel like most people go to a few summer gatherings where bringing a dish is required… fear not, my friends… I’ve got LOTS of Summer BBQ Party Recipes for you!

Appetizers, side dishes, and dessert recipes must meet the same criteria in my opinion to “qualify” for a summer worthy party dish. That would be…
- Able to be transported easily and served at room temperature or cold.
- Fairly simple to throw together with no fancy or crazy ingredients.
- Must be able to prepare ahead of time so I am not running around like a mad woman right before going to or hosting a party.
For dinner party recipes the criteria is slightly different…
- Not terribly expensive, feeding a crowd can get pricy!
- Not super involved, but still with some sort of wow factor.
- Must give off summer vibes in some way… no pasta or heavy casseroles here, and I highly recommend something on the grill that can be prepared ahead of time.
If you are thinking I have WAAAAYYYY too much time on my hands making all these lists, I sure don’t blame ya.
Just be glad I’m a crazy food weirdo and click below to take advantage of these amazing recipes (AND be the absolute HIT of all your summer food celebrations!).
Let’s kick off Summer BBQ Party Recipes with some APPETIZERS!
Easy BLT Dip
Make ahead, serve cold, dip, and enjoy!
Yes this one really is that simple and who doesn’t love a BLT in dip form, right?!

Blueberry Goat Cheese Crostini
You can mix this up with cream cheese in place of the goat cheese if preferred.
And also switch out any jam flavor… fig jam, red pepper jelly, or even cherry preserves!

Smoked Tomato and Feta Dip

BBQ Triple Pig Shots
This one is more involved, but if you are truly looking for a stunning appetizer THIS is one that will get people talking.

Everything Bagel Dip
SO easy and served cold!

Jalapeno Cranberry Pinwheels
If your friends and family aren’t scared of a little spice, these are perfect.
And the sweetness from the cranberries and creamy cheese evens out the heat.

Smoked Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos
Again, a labor of love compared to some of these other appetizer recipes… but SOOOO worth the effort.
They are great served at room temp too.

And some great Summer BBQ Party Recipes to feed DINNER to a crowd!
Grandma’s Homemade BBQ Sauce
If you love a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, this is a wonderful homemade recipe.
Serve with many of the recipes I have below such as grilled chicken and pulled pork.

Grilled Honey BBQ Chicken
You can’t go wrong grilling up some chicken for your guests, especially with homemade BBQ sauce!
Grill some hot dogs at the same time for variety along with a few other sauce choices.
Everyone will be happy at your BBQ party!

BBQ Pulled Pork
If you have a smoker and really need to feed a crowd, here’s an awesome one!
Shred and serve with BBQ sauce along with buns.
Or maybe even use this fun BBQ Pork Walking Tacos idea!

Grilled Steak (or Chicken) Fajita Skewers
I love making these kabobs ahead of time!
All I need to do is throw them on the grill and they are simple to serve.

BBQ Bacon Loaded Hot Dogs
How about some BBQ dogs with a make-your-own-toppings bar!
Guests can load their hot dogs however they like 🙂

Grilled Teriyaki BBQ Chicken Drumsticks
And chicken drummies are the BEST to serve a crowd, so budget friendly and no utensils needed.

Roasted Old Bay Shrimp Boil
This one can be made in the oven, on the Blackstone Griddle, or on the Traeger Pellet Grill.
What a fun and festive summer meal!

SIDE DISHES that are perfect for Summer BBQ Party Recipes
BBQ Bacon Slaw
Traditional slaw but with a little flair adding bacon and BBQ.

Stovetop Mac and Cheese
I make this 4 INGREDIENT recipe ahead of time, put in a foil casserole dish, and warm in the oven before serving.
Yes, it breaks my “serve at room temperature” criteria…. BUT it’s mac and cheese.
I mean, all parties have to have it, right?!

Prosciutto Pesto Mozzarella Salad
A stunning side dish (or maybe even appetizer, who knows 😉 ).
Serve with bread and everyone will be impressed!

Buffalo Bacon Deviled Eggs

Italian Sub Pasta Salad
This one never disappoints!
You could serve the peppers on the side to make it more kid friendly.

And some SWEET TREATS to complete our Summer BBQ Party Recipes 🙂
Berry Kabobs with Lemon Glaze
So fun and festive!
My kids love helping me make these.

Maple Bourbon Peach Crumble
Peach is one of the offical fruits of summer, so yummy with vanilla ice cream.

Key Lime Cheesecake Dip

Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake Roll Ups
Yum!
You could even make these on the Traeger pellet grill or oven.

Easy Oreo Mint Ice Cream
No churn, easy to make homemade ice cream.
Mix up the flavor if you want, but make sure you plan ahead for this one as it takes a few hours to freeze.
