BBQ Bacon Slaw
Buffalo chicken sliders, chicken wings, fresh fruit, and BBQ Bacon Slaw were some of the recipes I made for my daughter’s party.
Such an easy and unique summer side dish!
Well, it wasn’t the traditional graduation ceremony, but we made the best of the virtual graduation for my beautiful, smart, amazing daughter!
We had a backyard pool party as we watched a live stream on YouTube, and of course I made all of her favorite foods.
This girl LOVES bacon!
Always has since she was a little girl 🙂
How to make BBQ Bacon Slaw
So the slaw starts with a pound of bacon in a skillet that I cut with kitchen scissors.
The slaw part of this side dish is a bag of coleslaw, a bag of broccoli slaw, and a bunch of sliced green onions.
I guess I couldn’t decide between regular slaw and broccoli slaw, so it made sense to just use both.
For the dressing I whisked together mayo, BBQ sauce, and Frank’s Red Hot sauce.
Next just toss it all together in a large bowl.
I find that using tongs makes it go a little more smoothly.
Save some of the bacon and some of the sliced green onions to sprinkle over top to garnish.
Refrigerate the BBQ Bacon Slaw for about an hour before serving.

Here’s the spread for my daughter’s graduation celebration!
The food was a hit, especially the slaw because no one could figure out what makes it so unique in flavor.
A little sweet from the BBQ sauce and just a hint of heat from the hot sauce.
And who doesn’t love a TON of bacon 🙂
