Maple Bourbon Peach Crumble
Maple Bourbon Peach Crumble gives a plain old peach crumble recipe a delicious makeover that you surely don’t want to miss out on 🙂
What makes peach crumble even better than you could ever imagine, you may ask?!
Well…the answer is by adding maple and bourbon!
This dessert begins with 6 to 7 large peaches.
These are just barely ripe so they are perfect to make a crisp, crumble, or cobbler.
The difference between these three desserts is that crisps usually contain oatmeal and cobblers have more of a biscuit-like topping.
This is considered a crumble because it’s a combo of melted butter and flour, plus crumbles often times have nuts.
How to make Maple Bourbon Peach Crumble
The peaches get sliced thinly with the skins on.
Then tossed together with some sugar, pure maple syrup, bourbon, flour, cornstarch, cinnamon, and a little dash of salt.
.
Spray a 9×13 dish with some cooking spray to prevent sticking and add the peach filling.
Now the crumble topping could not be simpler to make.
Combine some melted butter, flour, pecan pieces, sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
Mix it all together, and you can see where it gets its name.
It’s very, ummmmm…crumbly looking 😉
Crumble the topping right over top of the peaches and place in a 375 degree oven for 45 minutes.
What comes out of the oven smells heavenly and insanely delicious!
Golden brown topping, perfectly cooked peaches, with just the right amount of sweetness.
Maple Bourbon Peach Crumble is super good by itself, or even better with some vanilla ice cream scooped over top 🙂
