BBQ Bacon Loaded Hot Dogs
First of all, what kid doesn’t love hearing that grilled hot dogs are for dinner…especially a BBQ bacon loaded hot dogs recipe with topping bar?!
This is such a fun, simple summer dinner recipe that the whole family will enjoy!
And then when you step it up with the BBQ sauce and bacon, even the teens and adults are excited.
Now, these hot dogs would be delicious just with the BBQ sauce and bacon.
But setting out additional toppings makes it fun for everyone to top their dogs just the way they like them.
How to Make BBQ Bacon Loaded Hot Dogs
The thing that makes these loaded hot dogs extra special is brushing them with BBQ sauce before grilling them.
And a few brushes of BBQ as they grill.
They get kind of like a sticky, sweet BBQ glaze.

.

Serve in a hot dog bun with some cooked and crumbled bacon over top with more BBQ sauce.
I set out gorgonzola cheese (which is kind of like blue cheese only with a milder flavor), shredded cheddar cheese, sweet pickled red onions.
And some jalapenos (not pictured because I took the pic too soon 😉 ) and green onions.

Everyone in my family made their own loaded hot dogs to their liking.
I served these with corn on the cob and watermelon to make the absolute perfect summer dinner!
PS-We even ate on paper plates and it was awesome!
An easy to make and easy to clean up meal.

This is the recipe for Sweet Pickled Red Onions that I put on our loaded hot dogs, they are also so good with tacos and nachos!
