Cajun Salmon and Asparagus
My husband did end up sharing and we all loved this healthy one pan recipe for Cajun Salmon and Asparagus!
He’s a big cajun fan and I’ve also gotten him to love salmon as much as I do.
So when I told my family I was making salmon with a cajun butter sauce, my husband’s response was “Well what’s everyone else going to eat?!”.
Here’s how to make Cajun Salmon and Asparagus
The first step is trimming the bottom inch or two off a pound of asparagus.
The bottom inch or two can be too tough to eat.
That’s why it’s best to remove it.
Then cut a one pound salmon fillet into two or three pieces.
Next up is making the cajun butter sauce, which is seriously the BEST part of this meal.
Just melt 4 Tbsps butter and add Tabasco sauce, creole mustard, kosher salt, pepper, and your favorite cajun seasoning.
Whisk it all together and set half of it aside for dipping.
And brush the butter on both the salmon and the asparagus.
Bake this in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes total.
And turn the broiler on high during the last 2 or 3 minutes.
This will help get a gorgeous golden brown color on top.
Cajun Salmon and Asparagus is a perfect one pan meal!
You could just serve this by itself, but I made a boxed pasta from the store to go along with it.
Don’t forget to serve it with the cajun butter sauce!
My butter solidified so I did microwave it for a few seconds to melt it again.
