Grilled Ginger Miso Bok Choy
After making this Grilled Ginger Miso Bok Choy recipe I have a feeling we will be having it much more often.
Bok choy is one of those easy to prepare veggies that for some reason I seem to forget about.
Bok choy is a type of Chinese cabbage.
It can be eaten raw or cooked.
And when cooking it literally takes just a few minutes.
How to make Grilled Ginger Miso Bok Choy
For the seasoning I mixed together white miso paste, ginger paste, and soy sauce.
I cut the bottom two inches off the head of bok choy and separated the leaves.
Then lay them flat on a tray.
The miso paste is thick, so it does taking some whisking to make it come together.
Then brush both sides of the bok choy leaves with the ginger miso sauce.
Now it’s ready for the grill.
The key here is getting the grill super hot and only cooking the bok choy for 1 to 2 minutes per side.
That’s just enough time for the thinner parts to get a nice char without becoming overcooked.
Cook 2 minutes on the first side and then flip them.
Then about 1 more minute on the second side and they will be cooked perfectly đŸ™‚
Remove the Grilled Ginger Miso Bok Choy from the grill and serve right away đŸ™‚
I cut mine up at dinner, but my kids just ate them whole and took bites right from each leaf.
