Grilled Caesar Salad
Grilled Caesar Salad takes 5 minutes to make, and this easy recipe can easily be turned into a meal by adding grilled chicken or steak.
As my 7 year old watch me put lettuce on the grill, his response was hilarious…
“MOM, have you lost your mind…you just put LETTUCE on the grill!?!?”
It does sound a little odd, but trust me it’s delicious!
The edges get slightly charred giving this salad a subtle, smokey flavor.
How to Make Grilled Caesar Salad
First, cut romaine lettuce in half lengthwise, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt and pepper.

Then, place onto the grill over high heat for exactly 1 minute, no more and no less.
Oh, and leave the lid open because if you close it the lettuce wilts and it’s no good.
I learned the this the hard way the first time I made this a few years ago.

Now of course at this point my son said “See, you burned it all up!”
No, this is called charred, not burnt, and it’s exactly what you want.

I used a store bought light Caesar dressing, you could use your favorite store bought Caesar or if you’re feeling extra adventurous you could make your own.
I love shaved parmesan on my Grilled Caesar Salad and lots of crunchy croutons!
The first time I made this for my husband he looked clueless as how to eat it.
Just cut the stem off, use a knife and fork to cut it up, and have at it.
