Honey Garlic Chili Shrimp Kabobs
Honey Garlic Chili Shrimp Kabobs were on the menu last night, all done on the grill and the recipe includes an incredible sauce and marinade.
I’ve been on quite the grilling kick lately.
The weather has been gorgeous and my family has been either on the patio or in the pool most days.
Therefore I grill dinner outside to be with them, even if they are a bunch of silly crazies đŸ˜‰
I cannot take full credit for this delicious sauce.
Most of the credit here is thanks to this garlic chili oil.
I found this little gem in the Asian section of the grocery store and it may be my new best friend.
How to Make Honey Garlic Chili Shrimp Kabobs
Three tablespoons of the garlic chili oil go into a bowl along with honey, soy sauce, and lime juice.
The garlic chili oil is not super spicy, I mean yes it does have a kick but it’s not overwhelming.
Divide the sauce into two bowls, one for brushing over top of the shrimp and set one aside for dipping.
This is one pound of shrimp that was already peeled and deveined.
All I had to do was put them on skewers.
Once the shrimp have been brushed with the sauce, they are ready for the grill đŸ™‚
Set the grill to medium high heat and place the shrimp on the grill.
They will only take about 5 minutes total.
Oh, and brush with more of the sauce as they grill.
.
Serve Honey Garlic Chili Shrimp Kabobs with rice or cauliflower rice.
And serve the remaining sweet and spicy sauce on the side, all mixed together with the rice was extra good.

Honey Garlic Chili Shrimp Kabobs
Honey Garlic Chili Shrimp Kabobs have a sweet and spicy glaze and dipping sauce, just a few minutes on the grill and a perfect, healthy dinner is ready!
Ingredients
- 1 pound jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
- 4 kabob skewers (if using wooden soak in water for several hours)
- 3 Tbsps garlic chili oil (I used Lee Kum Kee found in the Asian section of the grocery store)
- 2 Tbsps honey
- 2 Tbsps soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- Optional: serve with rice or cauliflower rice
Instructions
-
Put the shrimp on the kabobs skewers (5 to 6 shrimp shrimp per skewer) and pat them dry with paper towels.
-
Add the garlic chili oil, honey, soy sauce, and lime juice to a bowl and whisk until evenly mixed. Put half of this sauce in a separate bowl and set aside to use for dipping.
Brush some of the other half of the sauce on all sides of the shrimp kabobs.
-
Grill over medium to medium high heat for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes per side, brushing with more sauce as they cook.
-
Serve with remaining sauce on the side for dipping and with rice or cauliflower rice if desired.
