Crockpot Sausage Dip

Crockpot Sausage Dip

My husband and I were at a party a few weeks ago and had this amazing crockpot sausage dip recipe!

I asked for the recipe and realized it was super easy and only 3 ingredients.

So I decided to make it for my school’s last day before winter break teacher party 🙂

I made a few changes to the original recipe such as using salsa instead of just canned tomatoes, and also doubled the cream cheese.

Everything is better with more cheesy goodness of course.

And the salsa I figured would add a bit more flavor than just canned tomatoes.

Now, let me tell you, if you don’t work in an elementary school during the week before Christmas break…there are no words to describe the energy and craziness.

Us teachers rely on things like appetizer and dip lunches simply to survive!

How to Make Crockpot Sausage Dip Recipe

This crockpot sausage dip starts with…well, sausage of course.

I cooked two pounds of mild pork sausage and added that to my crockpot.

Then just added a jar of salsa and two 8 oz blocks of cream cheese.

Tostitos salsa is the brand I used, but I am sure any brand of salsa would be just as delicious.

This cooks on low for 3-4 hours. I stirred mine a few times as it cooked.

Partly because it does need to be mixed, and also because I get kind of obsessed with stirring things as they cook.

Plus every time you lift the lid off it smells AHHHH-MAAAAZING!

This Crockpot Sausage Dip recipe was devoured within the first half of our lunch party. With lots of people asking me for the recipe!

I served with Fritos Scoops, but tortilla chips would be good too.

Literally picture me trying to get the best picture of this dip in the teacher’s lounge, I seriously made a few friends wait to get the best pic possible.
