Jalapeno Popper Cranberry Dip

Jalapeno Popper Cranberry Dip

I’ve got a phenomenal dip recipe for you all today. Jalapeno Popper Cranberry Dip is an incredible mix of sweet and spicy and PERFECT served with Fritos Scoops.

In my opinion, this dip is best served warm.

But it can be served at room temperature if you are bringing it to a party or holiday.

You have cooking options as well. In the oven or in a Traeger grill/smoker.

Both are super yummy, but the Traeger option will give a unique and smoky flavor.

Everything you need is shown below, and it takes just a few minutes to throw together 🙂

ingredients for the dip

I use so dang much of those dry ranch packets that I just went ahead and got the large container of the dry ranch seasoning.

Already has been put to good use and saved me lots of cash, because those packets can get pricy compared to the big container.

How to Make Jalapeno Popper Cranberry Dip

First, spray a large cast iron skillet or casserole dish with non stick spray.

Then add two blocks of cream cheese, two cups shredded cheese, a cup of mayo, a 4 ounce can diced jalapenos, a 6 ounce bag dried cranberries, and 3 Tablespoons dry ranch seasoning.

I will say this dip does have a spicy kick, not overwhelming for me, but if you are wanting less spice consider adding only half the can of jalapenos.

Or you can substitute a can of green chiles instead, as they have a milder spice level.

The sweet cranberries do balance the heat of the jalapenos (my favorite part of each and every bite), but everyone has different spice preferences.

No need to stir just yet. Place this either in the oven set to 300 degrees for 20 minutes or the Traeger set to 225 for 45 minutes.

dip ingredients before cooking or mixing

Remove from either the oven or smoker and as you can see, everything is all melty.

Stir together until evenly combined, which does take about a minute or two, be patient I pinky promise it will all become one.

dip after cooking halfway before mixing

It comes together nicely and we will cook this for another 20 minutes in the oven, or an additional 45 minutes in the smoker.

The reason behind more time in the Traeger grill/smoker is the lower temperature AND more time to absorb that smoky goodness.

Serve Jalapeno Popper Cranberry Dip with Fritos Scoops for dipping!

Tortilla chips or crackers would also work, but I sure am a sucker for Fritos 🙂

I also sprinkled just a tad more cheese over top because it looks so pretty, not needed but it’s an option.
