Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken with Spicy Honey

Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken with Spicy Honey

Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken with Spicy Honey has the perfect recipe combo of crunchy, sweet, and spicy…making me a very happy girl indeed 🙂

I’m a sucker for anything sweet and spicy!

Add in a crunch factor and you may find me as happy as a kid on Christmas morning!

Almost all kids like chicken tenders, right?!

This version is a healthier way to feed them dinner while also keeping them super happy.

How to Make Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken with Spicy Honey

I start by cutting the chicken breasts into strips and marinated them in buttermilk and Tabasco sauce overnight.

Use the hot sauce sparingly or leave it out all together based on your spice preference.

We all seem to like a little spice in my family.

Then coat the chicken tenders in seasoned Panko breadcrumbs.

Sometimes I use the pre seasoned panko, but for this

I added some kosher salt, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper.

Next step is to place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

I set the air fryer for 20 minutes at 390 degrees and they came out crispity, crunchity, and cooked to golden brown perfection.

Depending on the size of your air fryer you may need to do these in a few batches.

If you have a bigger family, I would highly recommend a bigger air fryer.

My kids ate them plain (well, the teen dipped hers in ranch).

But my husband and I took plain, regular chicken tenders and made them extra special by dipping them in spicy honey.

I just whisked together some honey and Tabasco sauce 🙂

Mix it according to your taste and level of spice.

Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken could also be cut into smaller pieces, more like chicken nuggets if you prefer.
