Sriracha Bourbon BBQ Grilled Chicken, my friends, is an incredible dish that I hope you’ll make very soon.
Nothing screams “It’s sweet SUMMERTIME!” like grilled BBQ chicken.
This recipe puts a twist on BBQ chicken by adding a spicy kick of Sriracha and a fun party vibe with the bourbon.
It’s simple enough too with only a few ingredients and all cooked on the grill.
I also grilled some corn on the cob at the same time with just olive oil, kosher salt, and pepper.
Preferably use boneless, skinless chicken thighs for maximum flavor.
Here is how to make Sriracha Bourbon BBQ Grilled Chicken
Just put three pounds into a gallon size plastic bag along with olive oil, BBQ seasoning, and Sriracha.
Massage the bag until evenly combined and marinate in the fridge for a few hours or even overnight.
The sauce is simply one and a half cups BBQ sauce, half cup of bourbon, and more Sriracha.
Bring it to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer for three minutes.
When ready to grill, preheat to medium high and put the chicken on the grill and sprinkle with kosher salt and pepper.
The chicken will take about 5 to 6 minutes per side.
And brush with the sauce a few times as you grill.
The sauce creates a nice glaze on the chicken, not only making it extra flavorful…but it looks so pretty!
Serve the Sriracha Bourbon BBQ Grilled Chicken with the remaining sauce on the side for dipping.
Our complete meal was the chicken, the corn on the cob (that has the same cook time on the grill as the chicken) and a simple side salad with ranch.
A perfect summer meal for sure 🙂
