Grilling season is sadly coming to an end the further we get into fall (sigh). I have a few more grilling dishes I wanted to try, including these Grilled Teriyaki Shrimp Kabobs.

They remind me of a tropical paradise and I am trying to embrace this warm weather while I still can.

But hey, then we move to soup and slow cooker season so there’s that to look forward to.

I am obviously WAAAYYY too much of a seasonal cook 😉

How to Make Grilled Teriyaki Shrimp Kabobs

Yes, fresh pineapple would probably be better. But this canned pineapple was just too easy to pass up.

It’s already cut in the perfect size and so I went with convenience this time.

Just a pound of jumbo, shelled shrimp, pineapple, and 6 kabob skewers is what we need to start.

Put them onto the skewers and then brush with your favorite store bought teriyaki sauce.

Let’s just keep in mind I am a home cook and not a fancy chef…store bought sauce makes my life easier and these kids don’t know the dang difference anyway 🙂

A little sprinkle of kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes and we are grill bound.

Preheat the grill to medium high, and once hot they only take 5 minutes total.

Turn halfway though and brush with more teriyaki sauce throughout.

Yum…yum!

They look like absolute perfection!

I served our skewers with rice and more teriyaki sauce for the kids.

Keeping it simple for them works best.

But I drizzled spicy mayo, more teriyaki, and green onions for my Grilled Teriyaki Shrimp Kabobs!

It looks pretty here, but I devoured mine by taking the shrimp and pineapple off and mixing it all around so each bite had a little of everything.

Of course if you wanted this to be a lighter, healthier meal the kabobs by themselves are heavenly 🙂
