Air Fryer Shrimp with Mango Sauce

Air Fryer Shrimp with Mango Sauce

Air Fryer Shrimp with Mango Sauce is an incredible air fryer recipe 🙂

Crispity crunchity shrimp, made healthy in the air fryer, and with a homemade mango dipping sauce!

Does this sound like pure heaven to you?

Almost like you’ve been whisked away to a tropical island enjoying dinner on the beach?

That’s what I pictured as I enjoyed them.

How to Make Air Fryer Shrimp with Mango Sauce

I absolutely LOVE using panko bread crumbs when I make shrimp in the air fryer.

They get super crisp and delicious, but I don’t have the guilt of indulging in a deep fried food.

The breading station as you can see below is shrimp that has been peeled, deveined, and pat dry with paper towels.

And a beaten egg in one bowl and a cup of panko bread crumbs in another bowl that’s been mixed with Old Bay seasoning.

Dip each shrimp in the egg first and then into the panko, coating it on both sides.

Then into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

A little spray of olive oil cooking spray over top helps the shrimp to become golden brown.

Set the air fryer to 390 degrees for 8 minutes and then off you go to make the mango sauce 🙂

Cutting a fresh mango has never gone well for me.

Therefore I am using a 10 ounce bag of frozen mango chunks that I have let thaw to room temperature.

Put the mango chunks, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, and Sriracha in a food processor or blender.

Blend for about a minute until the sauce is smooth.

Add the Sriracha according to your spice preference, we are spice fanatics around here.

Add a touch or a little more depending on what you like.

So I’m just going to say just LOOK at this golden brown yumminess!

Air Fryer Shrimp with Mango Sauce

It’s best to enjoy Air Fryer Shrimp with Mango Sauce right away.

And why would you even want to wait though, right?!

This was our dinner that I served with a side salad and some oven roasted potatoes.

The sauce was even delicious with the potatoes!

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 tsps Old Bay seasoning
  • olive oil cooking spray (I used Pam)
  • 1 10 oz bag frozen mango chunks thawed
  • 1 1/2 Tbsps soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1/2 to 1 Tbsp Sriracha (more or less depending on spice preference)

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and set aside. Beat the egg in one bowl, Add the panko and Old Bay to another bowl and stir until evenly mixed.

  2. Dip each shrimp in the egg, then into the panko and press the panko to the shrimp to make sure it sticks. Place in the air fryer in a single layer. Spray lightly with olive oil cooking spray.

  3. Set the air fryer to 390 for 8 minutes.

  4. As the shrimp are in the air fryer, make the mango sauce. Put the thawed mango, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and Sriracha in a food processor or blender. Blend about 1 minute until the sauce is smooth.
