Crispy Baked Buffalo Ranch Chicken
Welp…Crispy Baked Buffalo Ranch Chicken was my first recipe using this fabulous new seasoning.
So I stumbled upon this Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning at the grocery store and instantly knew I had to try it.
If there’s one sure way to please my whole family at dinner, it’s serving them anything that involves buffalo and ranch.
And I promise it won’t be the last because this chicken was so flavorful and easy to make.
How to make Crispy Baked Buffalo Ranch Chicken
I have a few tricks up my sleeve as far as making chicken skin extra crispy in the oven.
Nothing will get it as crispy as deep frying, but as far as baking it… this as crispy as you’ll get it.
Worth the sacrifice for saving so many extra calories, right?!
One trick is patting it dry with paper towels to get rid of any moisture.
That moisture will steam the chicken skin making it hard to crisp up.
The second trick is using baking powder mixed in with the seasoning.
So once I had the chicken pat dry and the buffalo ranch seasoning, baking powder, kosher salt, and pepper all mixed up I seasoned the chicken.
Make sure you get it on all sides.
Remember I said I’ve tricks for crispy skin, right?!
Well another one is putting the chicken on a wire rack over a lined baking sheet.

Bake the chicken in a 425 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes, turning it halfway through cooking.
Crispy Baked Buffalo Ranch Chicken is such a simple and yummy 3 ingredient meal.
We had ours with tater tots that I cooked in the air fryer (16 minutes total and I shook the basket halfway through).
They went perfectly together 🙂

Crispy Baked Buffalo Ranch Chicken
A secret trick to getting the crispiest chicken with a buffalo ranch seasoning
Ingredients
- 5-7 chicken legs
- 3 Tbsps Frank's Buffalo Ranch seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsps baking powder
- kosher salt, pepper
Instructions

Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, mix together the buffalo ranch seasoning, baking powder, kosher salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture on all sides of the chicken legs.

Place the chicken on a wire baking rack over a lined baking sheet. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes, flip the chicken halfway through cooking.
