Indian Spiced Lettuce Wraps

Indian Spiced Lettuce Wraps

These Indian Spiced Lettuce Wraps are super healthy recipe and packed full of so much yumminess.

I am stepping out of my flavor comfort zone with this one by using two new-to-me ingredients… Garam Masala spice blend from Savory Spice Shop is one of them.

You can also find this spice blend in the spice section of the store.

It’s a very traditional spice blend used often in Indian cooking.

Garam Masala seasoning

The next one is this mango chutney.

I found it at my regular grocery store and I can’t wait to come up with more dishes using both Garam Masala and mango chutney đŸ™‚

Mango Chutney

For the ground meat you have choices… ground lamb, chicken, or pork.

I am using pork, which is not typically used in Indian dishes, but I just love it.

In addition to the pork, chutney, and spice blend we also have a diced onion, shredded carrots, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cilantro.

ingredients on a tray

First set a large skillet over medium heat.

Then add some vegetable or coconut oil and the ground meat, onion, and carrots.

Cook this 5 to 7 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.

As the meat and veggies were cooking, I made a sauce to drizzle over top.

Mayo, garam masala, and hot sauce in a bowl.

Just mix it together and serve with the lettuce wraps đŸ™‚

You’ll want to let the meat cool slightly before putting in the lettuce wraps.

For the lettuce I have Boston lettuce, but bibb lettuce would work too.
