I made my Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup and this Cranberry Jelly and Goat Cheese Dip.
Well, it was the day before Thanksgiving break in my elementary school.
Us teachers love a good excuse to celebrate any occasion with food.
So we had ourselves a little chili and soup lunch with lots of yummy appetizers and desserts.
It’s always a nice compliment when the Dean of Students walks into the lunch and says “Alright Chef Boyardee, what did you make so I can try it?!” 🙂
This dip AND my soup were both huge hits with everyone, which made me super happy!
How to make Cranberry Jelly and Goat Cheese Dip
The dip starts with goat cheese at room temp, some whole berry cranberry sauce, and red pepper jelly.
First spread the goat cheese onto a plate evenly.
Then whisk together half of the can of cranberry sauce (7 oz) and half the jar of red pepper jelly (5 oz).
I saved the rest of the jelly and cranberry sauce in my fridge.
To either make cranberry jelly grilled cheese or possibly use to bring to my family’s Thanksgiving as an appetizer.
Either way the leftovers won’t go to waste around here.
Next spoon the cranberry jelly over the goat cheese and top with chopped pistachios.
Serve right away with some Ritz crackers or really any cracker you prefer.
This Cranberry Jelly and Goat Cheese Dip is probably one of the most festive holiday appetizers I’ve ever made.
Plus it gets bonus points for being so simple and easy to make.
I love bringing appetizers to celebrations that are served at room temp and also have that WOW factor because they are so pretty and yummy!
