Flamin Hot Cheetos Chicken Nuggets
I told my son these Cheetos from the store were actually going to be used for Flamin Hot Cheetos Chicken Nuggets.
I don’t think I have ever seen my son so excited for dinner in my life!
He helped me unpack the groceries, which I got on my way home from work.
As he pulled these Flamin’ Hot Cheetos from the bag he instantly wanted to dig into them.
He was like…can you PLEASE make those TONIGHT?!
I couldn’t say no…I mean, he did say please 🙂
So we made them together that same evening.
Here is how we made Flamin Hot Cheetos Chicken Nuggets
I cut some chicken breasts into nugget size pieces.
Beat an egg in a bowl along with some hot sauce.
And poured 2 1/2 cups of the Cheetos into a gallon size plastic bag along with kosher salt and pepper.
Next comes the really fun part!
Smash the Cheetos with a rolling pin or you could use a cup.
Pound them until they are crumbs, but some bigger pieces are just fine.
Breading the chicken is super simple.
Dip each piece of chicken into the egg and then right into the bag with the Cheetos crumbs.
Press the crumbs so they stick to the chicken and place on a wire baking rack over a lined baking sheet.
Just look at how cool these look!

These will bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes.
No need to flip them or anything.
The hardest part for my son was waiting for them to bake.

FINALLY dinner was ready! Flamin Hot Cheetos Chicken Nuggets with a side of Flamin Hot Cheetos for the mom win!
He loved them dipped in ranch dressing and had two extra helpings.

Flamin Hot Cheetos Chicken Nuggets
Chicken nuggets breaded in Flamin' Hot Cheetos and baked
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 egg
- 1 to 2 tsps hot sauce
- 2 1/2 cups Flamin' Hot Cheetos
- kosher salt, pepper
- Optional: ranch dressing for dipping
Instructions

Cut the chicken breasts into nugget size pieces.

Beat the egg in a bowl with the hot sauce.

Put the Cheetos, kosher salt, and pepper in a gallon size plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin or cup until they are crumbs.

Place the chicken nuggets in the egg mixture, then into the Cheetos crumbs in the bag. Use your fingers to press the Cheetos crumbs into the chicken.

Place the chicken nuggets on a wire baking rack over a lined baking sheet.
Note: If you don't have a wire rack, just place them right on the lined baking sheet.

Bake the chicken nuggets in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes. Serve with ranch dressing if desired.
