Goat Cheese Tater Tot Bites
Looking for a unique party appetizer recipe or just a fun snack? I gotcha covered with these Goat Cheese Tater Tot Bites that are drizzled with honey!
Fillings for tater tot cups are endless, and don’t think this is the last of my tater tot recipes because I have many more fabulous ideas.
These are probably one of the simpler ideas because literally just goat cheese and honey is all there is to the filling.
How to Make Goat Cheese Tater Tot Bites
Start with a muffin tin and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
And some tater tots that have been thawed.
Thawing is key because a frozen tot won’t form the shape of the muffin tin.

So three tater tots go into each muffin space.

Then use a shot glass or small cup to press the tots into little cups.

You could press them into the sides more if you want more space or thinner edges.
I was going for more of a shallow cup.
Bake just like this at 450 degrees for 15 to 17 minutes.

You only need one 4 ounce goat cheese log. But, because I was recipe testing these, that’s why I have two.
This is herb goat cheese, but regular works too 🙂

Cut the goat cheese log into 12 equal pieces and place each one in the tater tot cups.
Back into the 450 degree oven for 5 to 7 more minutes.

As you can see, the goat cheese doesn’t quite melt into the cups like regular cheese.
But I assure you it’s ooey gooey and delicious!

A little drizzle of honey over top makes them extra unique 🙂
And keep the honey out for those (like me) who may want to add a drizzle or two more 😉

Serve Goat Cheese Tater Tot Cups with chives over top too!
