Air Fryer Teriyaki Steak Kabobs

Air Fryer Teriyaki Steak Kabobs

Air Fryer Teriyaki Steak Kabobs are a complete dinner recipe that cook up in just minutes!

If you follow my blog regularly, first of all…thank you and glad you’re here 🙂 .

And secondly you know I have been a busy girl coming up with some air fryer recipes that are basically complete meals.

Meaning, instead of doing just the main entree or just a side in the air fryer, I want the whole dang meal in there to make things a little easier at meal time.

How to make Air Fryer Teriyaki Steak Kabobs

They start with cut up New York strip steaks.

You could use another cut, but they are one of my favorites for making kabobs.

I marinated these in some teriyaki sauce and added kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes for a little added heat.

steak marinating

The veggies are in a separate bowl, but are marinated in the same teriyaki sauce.

I used cut up baby portobello mushrooms, red bell pepper, and a red onion.

The key to success when making kabobs is to try and cut everything around the same size.

veggies marinating

While the steak and veggies were marinating, I cut some wooden kabob skewers to fit in my air fryer.

I used a sharp knife and just snapped them once they were cut enough.

My husband has a whole garage full of tools that I’m sure would have done a much better job 🙂

Put the meat and veggies onto the skewers and they are ready for the air fryer!

I cut 8 skewers, but ended up only needing 7 of them.

I fit four kabobs the first round in the air fryer, and three for the second batch.

Into the air fryer basket they go for 10 minutes at 390 degrees.

You could take a minute off or add more time depending on how you like your steak.

And THIS gets to be your dinner, which is obviously the best part!

Holy cow they were so yummy and the steak was so juicy!

My husband, who is not a fan of raw or undercooked veggies at all, was impressed with how the veggies were cooked to perfection!

We dipped ours in some extra teriyaki sauce too.

If you wanted to add rice or cauliflower rice, both would go really well with these Air Fryer Teriyaki Steak Kabobs.

Ingredients

  • 2 New York Strip steaks
  • 8 oz baby portobello mushrooms
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 red onion
  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • kosher salt, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes
  • 6 to 8 wooden kabob skewers, cut to approx. 6 inches or to fit in your air fryer.

Instructions

  1. Cut the steaks into inch size cubes. Place in a bowl with 1/4 cup of the teriyaki sauce, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes, toss until evenly mixed.

  2. Cut the baby portobello mushrooms in half, cut the red pepper and red onion into similar size pieces as the steak and mushrooms. Place the veggies in a separate bowl and add 1/4 cup of the teriyaki sauce, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Toss until evenly mixed.

  3. Let the steak and veggies marinate for about 30 minutes and then make the kabobs by putting the steak and veggies on the kabob skewers.

  4. Place the kabobs in the air fryer basket, 3 to 4 kabobs should be able to fit. Set the air fryer to 390 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes, depending on how you like your steak cooked. Repeat with remaining steak kabobs.

  5. Serve with the remaining 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce for dipping.
