I mean, Flank Steak with Cajun Garlic Butter can just kind of speak for itself.
Just steak alone is a perfect meal in my opinion, but adding cajun garlic butter makes it over the top delicious!
You probably don’t even need me to tell you just how amazingly yummy this dish is, right?!
How to make Flank Steak with Cajun Garlic Butter
The key to the making the cajun garlic butter is making sure the butter is at room temperature.
Simply mix the butter with some cajun seasoning and garlic paste.
I use garlic paste because it blends easier without a chunk of garlic here and there.
You could certainly use minced garlic though if you don’t have the paste.
The steak gets coated with olive oil and sprinkled with kosher salt and pepper.
Flank steak is one of my favorite cuts of steak.
Flat Iron steak would be a great substitute if you can’t find flank steak.
The steak will cook in a large skillet over medium to medium high heat.
This is a cast iron skillet, which is great because it’s heavy and evenly distributes the heat.
Fair warning…turn on your overhead stove fan because this can get smoky.
Just about 3 to 5 minutes per side for medium rare to medium doneness.
During the last minute place a spoonful of the cajun butter over top.
It will slowly melt into the steak.
You’ll want to let the steak rest on a cutting board for a few minutes to let the juices redistribute.
If you cut into it right away you’ll lose some of the juices (aka- yummy goodness).
When you cut flank steak it’s very important to cut it in slices against the grain.
If you don’t the steak will be tough.
Serve Flank Steak with Cajun Garlic Butter with more of that cajun butter over top and enjoy!
