Teriyaki Steak Bowls

Teriyaki Steak Bowls

This Teriyaki Steak Bowls recipe can be made with either rice or cauliflower rice.

I recently made Asian Steak Bites with Yum Yum Sauce and Salmon Sushi Bowls, and this dish is kind of a combo of both.

Both dishes were SUPER good, easy to make, and at least somewhat healthy (which is really all I’m going for these days 😉 ).

When topped with the mango, avocado, and Yum Yum Sauce it’s such a unique combo of flavors!

Everyone in my family enjoyed this dinner in some form.

I’m not a short order cook, but I am willing to mix it up a bit so that everyone is happy.

My son had everything just on a plate and separated.

My husband had regular rice. (Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice Packets that can be microwaved can be your best friend.)

And my beautiful mom, who came for dinner, and I had cauliflower rice.

Again, super simple frozen bag that just gets microwaved 🙂

How to Make Teriyaki Steak Bowls

Cut up a flat iron steak and marinate it overnight.

Teriyaki steak marinades can vary so much.

This one is just soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic paste and ginger paste.

Cook in a skillet over medium high heat with some sesame oil and that’s it 🙂

Assemble the bowls with the cooked rice, diced mango, avocado, some cilantro and lime. SO pretty!

The Yum Yum Sauce is the best part.

You could use a store bought sauce or make your own.

It’s mayo (or light mayo), ketchup, sugar, garlic powder, and paprika.

Mix it all together and you have Yum Yum Sauce 🙂

We squeezed the lime over top and mixed everything together and added more sauce as we devoured these amazing Teriyaki Steak bowls 🙂

Now of course we used a lot more of the sauce than in this picture.
