Asian Steak Bites with Yum Yum Sauce

Asian Steak Bites with Yum Yum Sauce

I made this on a Monday, let me tell ya…knowing this Asian steak bites recipe is what’s for dinner does make Monday feel a little better 🙂

There’s just something extra special about having steak for dinner.

I marinated the steak the night before and made the Yum Yum Sauce the night before as well.

It made dinner super simple and easy to make in no time.

The marinade for these is very simple.

It is just soy sauce, honey, ginger paste, and garlic paste.

For this dish I used flat iron steak.

You could use your favorite cut including New York strip, flank steak, or if you’re feeling extra fancy…filet mignon.

Why ginger and garlic paste you might ask?

I feel like it evenly coats the steak with the flavors rather than a bit of ginger and garlic here and there.

This cooks at such a high temp that if I used minced garlic I think the bits of garlic would burn.

How to Make Asian Steak Bites with Yum Yum Sauce

Asian Steak Bites with Yum Yum Sauce

The steak bites marinate overnight in the fridge.

And may I just say how delicious our fridge smelled during this!

When you are ready to cook them, just remove from the fridge and let them come to room temperature.

In a large skillet over medium high heat pour in some sesame oil (or vegetable oil will work too).

This would also be perfect to make on the Blackstone griddle or flat top grill!

Add the steak and listen to the sizzle…

They will be cooked to perfection after about 5-8 minutes.

I stirred and flipped them around as they cooked.

Serve these heavenly little bites of steak with Yum Yum Sauce.

It’s just mayo (or light mayo), ketchup, sugar, paprika, and garlic powder.

It tastes JUST like the sauce served at those hibachi restaurants.

I suggest serving Asian Steak Bites with fried rice or cauliflower rice…YUM!
