BBQ Beer Can Chicken
This BBQ Beer Can Chicken recipe is full of smoky flavor and the presentation is awesome!
I have made quite a few chicken recipes and this is one of my favorites.
Beer and BBQ just naturally go together, am I right?!
How to Make BBQ Beer Can Chicken
Using a store bought BBQ seasoning makes this even simpler.

If you have a homemade BBQ seasoning though, use that.
Open a can of beer and drink half of it…see, already off to a great start 😉
Then pat the chicken dry, rub all sides of the chicken with the seasoning, and position the chicken cavity over the beer can.

I cooked mine in the Traeger pellet grill/ smoker at 275 degrees for about 4 hours.
This can also be cooked in the oven at 375 degrees for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until it’s above 165 degrees.
Just make sure to lower the rack to the bottom to make room for the chicken.
Let the chicken rest about 10 minutes and carefully remove it from the can.
Shredding it up in the pan with all those yummy juices will just give it even more of an amazing flavor.
You could serve this BBQ Beer Can Chicken with your favorite BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
