Stuffed Jalapenos
These Stuffed Jalapenos are absolutely amazing and delicious.
If you’re looking for the perfect game day snack or party appetizer recipe, you can stop right here.
Just a small amount of heat from the jalapenos stuffed with some cheesy sausage yumminess…I mean, it really doesn’t get any better than that, right?!
I got 15 large jalapenos and cut them in half lengthwise.
Call me a baby if you want, but jalapenos make my skin burn.
So I always wear plastic gloves when cutting them.
Using a spoon, scrape out all of the seeds and ribs and they are all ready to be stuffed.
Be sure to scrape away from your face.
Place them flat, well…as flat as possible, on a lined baking sheet.
Now comes the best part…the cheesy sausage filling 🙂
In a skillet over medium heat add some olive oil, diced onion, and red pepper.
After a few minutes add some garlic and ground Italian turkey sausage.
Season with some kosher salt and pepper as well.
Holy cow just this smells amazing and I could probably eat it with a spoon just like this!
Now comes the cheesy part…stir in some cream cheese and shredded cheddar.
It does take a little bit before it all comes together, just keep stirring and I pinky promise it will melt perfectly.
Fill each jalapeno half and place on a lined baking sheet just like this.
These Stuffed Jalapenos will bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes.
If you are bringing these to a party you can certainly make them at home and them bake at the party, I’ve done that plenty of times.
And then I always seem to get invited back again and again…weird 😉
