I made some Asian Steak Bites with Yum Yum Sauce and thought how great this sauce would be with shrimp.

Well…it was AMAZING!!!

Next time I may even make both the shrimp and steak for a delicious surf and turf!

How to Make Air Fryer Shrimp with Yum Yum Sauce

In an attempt to make my life even easier I buy the shrimp that has already been peeled and deveined.

Another great tip is buying a few bags while it’s on sale can save you some cash 🙂

A quick marinade for the shrimp is simply soy sauce, garlic paste, and ginger paste.

I prefer using the garlic and ginger paste because it coats the shrimp more evenly.

Bonus points for it being easier to use and cutting down on prep time.

Let the shrimp marinate for about 20 minutes or so. I find that if you let shrimp marinate too long it tends to become tough.

Then into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Depending on the size of your air fryer it may need to be done in two batches.

Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

While the shrimp were marinating I made the Yum Yum Sauce.

They also have Yum Yum sauce in the store already made, but it is super easy to make.

I used light mayo, ketchup, sugar, paprika, and garlic powder to make this amazing sauce whose name describes it perfectly…YUM YUM!

Air Fryer Shrimp with Yum Yum Sauce would be great as an appetizer or served as a meal with rice or cauliflower rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 Tbsp ginger paste
  • 3/4 cup mayo (or light mayo)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Optional: green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and place them in a bowl. Add the soy sauce, garlic paste, and ginger paste. Stir until combined and let this marinate for 15 minutes.

  2. In another bowl mix together the mayo, ketchup, sugar, paprika, and garlic powder to make the Yum Yum sauce.

  3. Put the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

  4. Serve with shrimp green onions if desired and the Yum Yum sauce for dipping.
