Italian Sub Chopped Salad
Italian Sub Chopped Salad is a quick and easy refreshing salad recipe, plus it’s great for meal prepping as well đŸ™‚
One of my all time favorite sandwiches, even when I was a young kid, is an Italian Sub!
Some also might call this an Italian Grinder Salad, whatever you call it is perfectly fine.
Yummy ham, salami, pepperoni with the ooey gooey melty cheese on a delicious hoagie bun was like pure heaven.
This salad has all the deliciousness of my favorite sandwich, only in salad form.
The only real work involved here is chopping up all the ingredients (hence the name chopped salad đŸ˜‰ ).
How to Make Italian Sub Chopped Salad
Provolone cheese, pepperoni, salami, and ham along with tomatoes and lettuce.
I also love the spice and crunch from sliced pepperoncini peppers!
You could for sure add onion, I am just not a fan of raw onions.
Once your ingredients are chopped and ready to go, just put everything in a big bowl.
Instead of croutons I went with just cubes of ciabatta bread.
Even though it’s a salad it still needed that “sub” bread aspect.
Now all that’s left to do it toss Italian Sub Chopped Salad all together and enjoy!
I served with fat free Italian dressing, but you can serve it with any vinaigrette or even ranch.

Meal Prep Idea for Italian Sub Chopped Salad
This salad is great for prepping a few ready to go meals.
The bread stays perfectly good (I was worried it would get soggy, but it was perfect).
The dressing on the side is not pictured đŸ™‚

Italian Sub Chopped Salad
An easy salad to make and great for meal prepping too!
Ingredients
- 1 head chopped iceberg lettuce
- 3/4 cup chopped salami
- 3/4 cup chopped ham
- 3/4 cup chopped provolone cheese slices
- 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
- 1/2 cup chopped pepperoncinis
- 2 chopped roma tomatoes
- 2 cups cubed ciabatta or Italian bread
- 3/4 cup fat free Italian dressing
Instructions

Combine all ingredients (except the dressing) in a very large bowl and toss until evenly mixed.

Divide into smaller plates or bowls (or containers if meal prepping). Serve with the fat free Italian dressing.
