Crispy Air Fryer Green Beans
Crispy Air Fryer Green Beans were a successful copycat recipe!
Several years ago TGI Fridays used to have a fried green bean appetizer.
It was served with a wasabi mayo sauce and it was amazingly delicious!
This is my attempt at recreating that dish using the air fryer.
My husband and kids even loved it so that’s a huge bonus and mom win!
The kids dipped theirs in ranch, but my husband and I were huge fans of the wasabi mayo.
How to Make Crispy Air Fryer Green Beans
It starts with a pound of green beans that I cleaned and removed the stems.
Just look at that gorgeous, green color!
Then I dipped them in eggs and seasoned panko bread crumbs.
No, one hundred percent of the green beans are not coated in panko.
But the panko sticks enough to create a crispy crunch 🙂
If you do not used seasoned Panko bread crumbs, I would recommend adding a bit of salt and pepper.
Next just set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
I had to do mine in three batches.
The first time I put all the panko in the bowl.
But by the time I did the second batch the panko was soggy.
So I would recommend dividing up the panko and using a fresh refill for each batch.
We ate these Crispy Air Fryer Green Beans almost like french fries.
We dipped them in a mixture of mayo and wasabi, but dipping them in ranch would be awesome too.
These could be served as a side dish, but we just enjoyed them as a snack/ appetizer.
Sometimes when you eat a late lunch, a little snack is all you need instead of dinner.

Crispy Air Fryer Green Beans
Breaded green beans cooked to crispy perfection in the air fryer
Ingredients
- 1 pound green beans stems removed
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups seasoned panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup mayo (or light mayo)
- 1 tsp wasabi paste
Instructions
-
Beat the eggs in one bowl. Put the panko bread crumbs in another bowl.
-
Dip the green beans in the eggs and then into the panko. Press the panko slightly into the green beans. Place the green beans into the air fryer basket.
Note: Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to do these in batches. If doing them in batches pour only some of the panko into the bowl and refill with each batch. This will prevent the panko from getting soggy in between batches.
-
Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
-
Mix the mayo and wasabi paste together and serve as a dipping sauce.
