Muenster Turkey Melts with Avocado and Bacon
Muenster Turkey Melts with Avocado and Bacon are a perfect, kid friendly weeknight meal.
Just when I thought I could never enjoy a bagel without guilt ever again, they came out with bagel thins!
My 41 year old self cannot justify the calories in an actual bagel.
But the thins are only 100 calories!
So now I don’t feel as bad about eating the bacon and cheese on top of these turkey melts đŸ˜‰
The inspiration behind this dinner makes my heart smile…
When we were kids, my mom would take us to the mall and there was sandwich shop there that had turkey, Muenster cheese, and bacon on a bagel.
I seriously looked forward to this sandwich every time she took us, and we even recreated it at home when I was little.
I added the avocado and switched to a thin, but I can smile at a good childhood memory as I share this dish with my own family đŸ™‚
How to Make Muenster Turkey Melts
I cook the cut up, bite size pieces of bacon in a skillet over medium high heat for about 5 minutes.
Then just toast the bagel thins and place on a baking sheet, cut side up.
Top with turkey, avocado, Muenster cheese, and bacon crumbles.
.
Into a 375 degree oven for 5 to 7 minutes and dinner is served!
We had some fresh fruit on the side of our Muenster Turkey Melts and it was the perfect combo.
