Air Fryer Japanese BBQ Chicken Bites
I have used this Japanese BBQ sauce a few times on some Blackstone griddle meals, I had a little left to use in this easy recipe for Air Fryer Japanese BBQ Chicken Bites.
We just had this as dinner with a few sides, dipped in store bought yum yum sauce.
But this could be great for meal prepping with a veggie and rice, or use them to top a salad.
How to make Air Fryer Japanese BBQ Chicken Bites
First cut 1 1/2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or you can use breasts) into bite size pieces.
I like using the chicken thighs because they always have maximum juiciness and never dry out.
Then put them in a gallon size plastic bag for mess free marinating.
Next add a few tablespoons of this Japanese BBQ sauce.
I used this Bachan’s brand, but you can use any brand you prefer.
Also add some soy sauce, minced garlic, sriracha, kosher salt, and pepper.
Massage the bag until evenly coated and marinate in the fridge for a few hours if possible.
Put the seasoned chicken bites into the air fryer in a single layer.
Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 11 to 13 minutes.
About halfway through cooking, drizzle more of the Japanese BBQ sauce over top.
And get that yum yum sauce ready for dipping!
You can garnish your Air Fryer Japanese BBQ Chicken Bites with sesame seeds and cilantro if desired 🙂
But for sure serve them with the yum yum sauce, and more sriracha if you like a little spice in your life.
