Easy Smores Bars
I cannot take credit for this Easy Smores Bars recipe, my daughter requested them for her birthday and basically told me her ideas on how to make them.
I mean, if these were her birthday dessert request you know they have to be amazing!
Pretty much a classic summer dessert but without all the mess, and bonus points for being a no bake dessert recipe 🙂
Very similar to starting like Rice Krispie treats, but with a few changes to turn them into smores that you can can enjoy anytime.
How to make Easy Smores Bars
First set a pot over medium to medium low heat.
Then add 4 tablespoons of butter.
And once the butter is melted, stir in most of a 10 ounce bag of mini marshmallows.
Save some marshmallows for the topping.
Stir the marshmallows until they are melted, remove from the heat, and stir in 6 cups of Golden Grahams cereal.
Let it cool just for a minute or two and then stir in almost a 10 ounce bag of semi sweet chocolate chips, either regular size or mini chips.
Save some chips for the topping.
Spread this mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 casserole dish.
Then sprinkle the remaining marshmallows over top.
And place this into the oven set to broil just for a minute or until the marshmallows are toasted.
Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over top while it’s still hot so they melt slightly.
Easy Smores Bars are the perfect simple summer dessert!
Let them cool completely before slicing them into bars and serving.

Easy Smores Bars
Easy Smores Bars is a no bake dessert recipe perfect for summer, all the goodness of smores without all the mess!
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 10 ounce bag mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Golden Grahams cereal
- 1 10 ounce bag semi sweet chocolate chips (regular size or mini)
- non stick spray
Instructions

Set a large pot over medium to medium low heat. Add the butter and once melted pour most of the bag of marshmallows (save some for the topping).

Stir until the marshmallows are melted, remove from heat, and stir in the Golden Grahams cereal. Once slightly cooled for just a minute or two, stir in most of the chocolate chips, saving some for the topping.

Spray a 9×13 casserole dish with non stick spray and spread the dessert evenly. Add the remaining marshmallows and put in the oven turned to the broil setting just for about a minute to toast the marshmallows.

Add the remaining chocolate chips right away so they melt slightly over the top. Let this cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
