Honey Hot Lemon Pepper Wings
Sweet and spicy is a heavenly flavor combo by itself, but add in lemon and you have something extraordinary in this recipe for Honey Hot Lemon Pepper Wings.
The recipe includes directions for baking them in the oven or smoking them on your Traeger pellet grill or smoker.
They make a great dinner or a fun game day appetizer.
However you enjoy them, be sure have LOTS of napkins on hand 😉

How to make Honey Hot Lemon Pepper Wings
First season 3 pounds of jumbo split chicken wings.
Put them in a bowl or gallon size plastic bag with soy sauce, fresh lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Toss until coated and marinate in the fridge if possible.

Then place them on a baking sheet (preferably on a wire rack) and place them in a 400 degree oven for 45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Or onto your smoker or pellet grill at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 hours, flipping halfway through.

While the wings cook, make the sauce to coat the wings in a saucepan.
It’s basically some honey, butter, and hot sauce along with more lemon juice, soy sauce, and lemon pepper seasoning.
Bring it to a boil just for a few minutes and let it cool a bit.
It will thicken slightly as it cools.

Whether you are cooking the wings in the oven or your smoker or pellet grill, make sure they are above 165 degrees before serving.

Honey Hot Lemon Pepper Wings are a nice change from traditional chicken wings with this unique and flavorful sauce 🙂
Just toss them in the sauce before serving and enjoy.
