Honey Cinnamon Fireball Wings

Honey Cinnamon Fireball Wings

Another genius chicken wing recipe thanks to my husband are these Honey Cinnamon Fireball Wings!

We make a great pair with his out of the box and unique chicken wing recipe ideas and my ability to make them happen 🙂

You can smoke these or make them in a Traeger pellet smoker, or just simply bake them in the oven.

ingredients for the chicken wings

For the seasoning I am using this Fireball seasoning, but you could substitute pretty much any favorite seasoning blend that you have.

Or you can buy the Fireball seasoning from Amazon HERE!

FYI it’s also incredible on pork chops.

How to make Honey Cinnamon Fireball Wings

Start with three pounds of jumbo split chicken wings.

Pat them dry and add some olive oil, Fireball seasoning, kosher salt, and pepper.

Then just toss the wings until they are evenly coated.

You can smoke them right on the grill grate of your smoker or Traeger pellet grill set to 250 degrees for 2 1/2 hours, flipping halfway through.

Or place them on a baking sheet in a 400 degree oven for about 45 minutes, also flipping halfway through.

I put mine on a wire baking rack to make them a little more crisp.

Either cooking method, you’ll want to make sure they have an internal temperature above 165 degrees.

I made a super simple Fireball Whiskey buffalo wing sauce.

Just put a cup of wing sauce into a saucepan along with 1/3 cup of Fireball, 2 tablespoons honey, and a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Bring to a boil just for a minute or two, stirring a few times.

Then toss the wings in the sauce before serving.

  • 3 pounds jumbo split chicken wings
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons Fireball seasoning (link to buy from Amazon in post above or use your favorite seasoning blend)
  • kosher salt, pepper
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/3 cup Fireball Whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Pat the wings dry with paper towels and put in a bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over top and add the Fireball seasoning (or seasoning blend of choice), kosher salt, and pepper. Toss until they are evenly coated.

  3. Place wings on a lined baking sheet (or on a wire baking rack over the lined baking sheet for crispier wings) and put them in a 400 degree oven for 45 minutes, flip them halfway through. They should be above 165 degrees internal temperature.

Smoker or Pellet Grill Directions: Preheat to 250 degrees, place the chicken wings on the grill grate for two and a half hours. Flip them halfway through.

  4. Toss the wings with the Fireball buffalo sauce and serve.
