Honey Hot Lemon Pepper Wings is a recipe for a unique chicken wing flavor, they can be baked in the oven or the smoker or Traeger pellet grill!
Put the chicken wings in a gallon size plastic bag or bowl. Add half of the lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of the lemon pepper seasoning, 2 tablespoons of the soy sauce, kosher salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Toss until the wings are coated and marinate in the fridge for a few hours if possible.
Put the remaining lemon juice, the remaining tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning and soy sauce in a small saucepan with the honey, butter, and hot sauce (amount will depend on your spice preference). Bring to a boil just for a few minutes, stirring a few times and let cool (it will thicken as it cools).
Place wings on a lined baking sheet and put in a 400 degree oven for 45 minutes, flip them halfway through. Wings should have an internal temperature above 165 degrees.
Smoker/ Pellet Grill Directions: Place the chicken wings in a smoker set to 250 degrees for two and a half hours. Flip them halfway through.
Serve the wings coated in the hot honey lemon pepper sauce.
