Cajun Buffa-Que Chicken Wings
These Cajun Buffa-Que Chicken Wings are a ridiculously simple recipe and with very few ingredients.
Yet they have such a bold and unique flavor.
They can be baked in the oven or cooked in a smoker or Traeger pellet grill for a little extra flavor.
The goal here was to combine my three favorite wing flavors…cajun, buffalo, and BBQ.
Sunday Fundays around here usually involve the smoker, and also usually chicken wings 😉 So I went with cooking them low and slow.
How to Make Cajun Buff-Que Chicken Wings
For the wings I just did a dry rub.
Literally all I did was pat them dry and tossed them with 3 Tbsps cajun seasoning.
Super simple, right?!
Then onto the smoker or Traeger pellet grill set to 250 degrees for about 2 1/2 hours.
Of course you can bake them at 400 degrees too, for about 45 minutes.
Mix together buffalo wing sauce and BBQ sauce, you know…for the “buffa-que” part.
Brush the wings during the last half hour for a sweet and spicy glaze.
I brush them a few times and flip them as well.
YUM!
Check to make sure they have an internal temp of 170 degrees and then they are ready to enjoy!
Serve Cajun Buffa-Que Chicken Wings with the extra sauce on the side 🙂
Usually we dip wings in ranch but these had us wanting to devour them just like this.
So tasty 🙂
