Cajun Shrimp Sausage Kabobs

Cajun Shrimp Sausage Kabobs

Grilling this easy recipe for Cajun Shrimp Sausage Kabobs just added to our fun Friday vibes.

Fridays are just more fun when the sun is shining and you get to hang out on the patio with a cold beer in hand.

You can control the amount of spice with how much cajun seasoning and hot sauce you use.

You all know I went with a good spicy kick of course.

This andouille sausage had a good amount of heat just by itself.

So if you don’t like spice just use a regular smoked sausage instead.

How to Make Cajun Shrimp Sausage Kabobs

First, peel and devein a pound of jumbo shrimp.

Then get out the ingredients for the cajun dipping sauce.

You’ll need, mayo, cajun seasoning, garlic, lime juice, and Tabasco sauce.

Just put in a small bowl or container and stir until evenly mixed.

Once the sauce is done, cut the sausage into inch size pieces.

The sausage is already cooked, so snacking on a few small pieces is perfectly fine, at least that what I kept telling myself đŸ˜‰

Then put the shrimp and sausage on kabob skewers.

And brush them with olive oil and season with more cajun seasoning, kosher salt, and pepper.

Next stop is the grill!

Preheat the grill to medium high heat and they will cook for only 2 1/2 minutes per side.

Shrimp don’t take long and really just heating up the sausage and creating a nice char on them.

The same cook time is one of the reasons I paired the two together for these kabobs.
