Grillo's Fried Pickle Chips

Grillo’s Fried Pickle Chips

These Grillo’s Fried Pickle Chips are just the start of many more easy pickle recipes to come!

I am a pickle snob.

Like seriously am super picky about pickles.

So much so that I started growing my own pickling cucumbers and making my own.

But now that I have discovered this brand of Grillo’s Pickles I may not need to anymore!

My friend recommended these and once I tried them I had to sadly admit…they are BETTER than my homemade!

I found them easily in the refrigerated pickle section of my Kroger store.

Most big grocery stores carry this brand.

They come in classic dill and a spicy version too. I had to get both of course!

The brine even has fresh dill, fresh garlic, and grapeseed leaves for maximum flavor.

And the crunch is perfect.

How to Make Grillo’s Fried Pickle Chips

Start with your Grillo’s pickle of choice.

I made a mix of the classic dill and a few spicy ones too.

Then combine 1/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup cornstarch for the breading.

I tried both an air fried version and a deep fried version.

The deep fried were much crunchier, but the air fried ones were really good too.

I couldn’t decide which recipe to post…so I just decided to post both.

If you are deep frying these, pour enough vegetable oil in a small saucepan about an inch or two deep.

And set it over medium heat.

Once it reaches 350 degrees you can bread the pickle chips.

And gently place them in the oil for just about 2 minutes.

If air frying, place them in the air fryer basket, spray them with olive oil cooking spray, set the air fryer to 400 degrees for about 12 minutes.

When deep frying, remove them from the oil and place on paper towels to get rid of the extra oil.

I made a dipping sauce for these, just ranch dressing with a little chipotle powder.

I have also used cajun seasoning with ranch.
