Buffalo Chicken Walking Tacos
My husband said “Oh, Buffalo Chicken Walking Tacos would be pretty good”.
So I really cannot even take credit for this genius recipe, all the credit goes to my husband for this one.
However, I instantly started recipe testing and the results are SO yummy!
Regular walking tacos have ground beef with taco seasoning in a bag of either Fritos or Doritos.
Lots of yummy toppings too of course like lettuce, cheese, salsa, sour cream, etc.
How to Make Buffalo Chicken Walking Tacos
These start with ground chicken, instead of the beef.
I cooked an onion in a skillet over medium heat for a few minutes, and then added some fresh garlic and the ground chicken.
Cook that for about 6 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Then add your favorite buffalo sauce and stir it in until evenly mixed.

Now the rest is up to you.
We built a toppings bar for everyone to make their own.
I set out bags of Fritos along with lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and jalapenos.

Buffalo Chicken Walking Tacos
Buffalo Chicken Walking Tacos are a fun twist on traditional walking tacos, made with ground buffalo chicken served in Frito bags with lots of toppings
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 1/4 cups buffalo sauce
- 8 1.375 oz bags Fritos
- Toppings such as: shredded lettuce, sour cream, shredded cheese, jalapenos, salsa
Instructions

Set a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once the olive oil is hot add the diced onion. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the ground chicken and garlic to the skillet. Cook 5 to 6 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add the buffalo sauce and stir until evenly mixed, cook 1 more minute.

Serve the walking tacos by opening the bags of Fritos, scoop some of the buffalo chicken into each bag and top with shredded lettuce. sour cream, shredded cheese, jalapenos, and/or salsa if desired. Eat with a fork right out of the bag.
