I’m back with another easy, no cook lunch or dinner idea…. you’re gonna love this recipe for Spicy Crab Sushi Subs!

Inspired by my favorite sushi roll, but served in a sub bun.

Budget friendly, simple, and most importantly DELISH!

How to make Spicy Crab Sushi Subs

Start by chopping 2 packages of imitation crab meat.

Put the crab in a bowl with about 1/4 cup spicy mayo and a little soy sauce.

Toss until combined and get ready to assemble the subs.

I have Brioche hot dog buns but use whatever sub buns you prefer.

First spread some avocado in the center of each.

I am using the diced avocado in a tray but obviously a fresh avocado would work too.

As you can see, I spread a good amount but left plenty of room for the spicy crab salad.

After piling on the crab salad you can add any sushi toppings of choice.

I went with more spicy mayo and a good drizzle of this ginger soy glaze.

Spicy Crab Sushi Subs is my favorite sushi roll transformed into a sandwich with lots of sushi toppings for a fun lunch or dinner recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages imitation crab meat
  • 1/4 cup sriracha mayo
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 sub buns
  • 2 avocados diced or mashed
  • Optional toppings: wasabi, pickled ginger, more sriracha mayo, ginger soy glaze, sesame seeds, green onions

Instructions

  1. Chop the crab and put in a bowl. Add the sriracha mayo and soy sauce. Stir until combined.

  2. Toast your sub buns if desired. Fill each bun with avocado and the spicy crab mixture.

  3. Add toppings of choice such as wasabi, pickled ginger, more sriracha mayo, ginger soy glaze, sesame seeds, and/or green onions.
