
Cottage Cheese Sub in a Tub
The only thing better than regular “sub in a tub” for meal prep or a quick low carb meal is Cottage Cheese Sub in a Tub with a homemade high protein dressing!
No doubt you’ve heard of this viral, easy recipe.
But, let me show you how to take it up a notch 😉

How to make Cottage Cheese Sub in a Tub
It starts just like any, ordinary sub in a tub with a bed of chopped lettuce.
Then dice any deli meats of choice.
I went with salami, ham, and pepperoni.

You could also add onions, banana peppers, or tomatoes… which is what I went with.

And some shredded mozzarella cheese.

For the cottage cheese dressing you’ll need a food processor or blender.

Simply add 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 3 tablespoons Italian dressing, a little kosher salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Then just blend until smooth.

And add the dressing to your sub tubs.

I added the dressing to one, and put the dressing for the other one in a 2-ounce container to save for tomorrow’s lunch 🙂
Just pop on a lid and shake your Cottage Cheese Sub in a Tub and enjoy!

Cottage Cheese Sub in a Tub
Cottage Cheese Sub in a Tub has everything in an Italian sub without the carbs and bread with a healthy dressing made from cottage cheese!
Ingredients
- 1 heart of romaine lettuce chopped
- 1/2 cup diced deli ham
- 1/2 cup diced deli salami
- 1/2 cup diced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Optional ingredients: tomatoes, banana peppers, onions
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 3 tablespoons Italian dressing
- kosher salt, pepper, Italian seasoning
Instructions

Divide the lettuce, ham, salami, pepperoni, cheese, and any other optional toppings like tomatoes, banana peppers, and/or onions between 2 meal prep containers or bowls.

Put the cottage cheese, Italian dressing, and just a little kosher salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, about 1 minute.

Divide the dressing between the 2 bowls or place in cups with lids to add right before serving.
