Air Fryer Old Bay Scallops
Scallops rank pretty high with our favorite types of seafood, so everyone clapped and cheered when I told them we were having an easy Air Fryer Old Bay Scallops recipe for dinner.
In my family we are huge seafood lovers.
Okay, okay…I may have over exaggerated the clapping and cheering part.
But hey, no one complained and I think I even got a smile from one of the kids đŸ˜‰
I at least call that a mom win.
A pound of scallops won’t feed my whole family by themselves.
So I served them over fettuccine alfredo.
How to make Air Fryer Old Bay Scallops
Start by patting dry the scallops with paper towels.
And check to see if the side muscle needs to be removed.
If the side muscle is still attached simply peel it off.
The side muscles are perfectly edible, they just get a little tough.
Then add a Tbps of Old Bay seasoning and a drizzle of olive oil.
This seasoning is perfect for seafood but I also use it a TON with chicken.
Toss until evenly combined and then place the scallops in the air fryer basket.
Set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 5 to 6 minutes, really depending on how big the scallops are.
Mine took 5 minutes exactly.
I love that this is such a quick meal to throw together.
A beautiful golden brown crust forms on each scallop.
So pretty!

Air Fryer Old Bay Scallops
Air Fryer Old Bay Scallops have a simple seasoning and cooked to perfection in minutes in the air fryer, great served with fettuccine alfredo
Ingredients
- 1 pound scallops
- 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp Old Bay seasoning
- Optional: lemon wedges
Instructions

Pat the scallops dry and remove the side muscle from each scallop.

Place them in a bowl with olive oil and Old Bay seasoning. Toss until evenly mixed.

Put the scallops in the air fryer basket and set it to 400 degrees for 5 to 6 minutes.

Serve with lemon wedges on the side if desired and/or with fettuccine alfredo, on a salad, or with rice.
