Meatball Sub Bites
In thinking about easy game day snack recipes I thought to make Meatball Sub Bites!
This dish started because I had some leftover frozen meatballs that I had no clue what to do with.
This could easily be a dinner or a fun snack, either way they are super yummy and very simple to make.
Frozen meatballs, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and a package of crescent rolls is almost all you need.

How to make Meatball Sub Bites
First lay the crescent rolls flat and pinch together the seams as best you can.
This will prevent them from coming apart as they bake.
Then use a pizza cutter to cut them into 12 smaller pieces.
As you can see, I was not aiming for perfection here 😉
It’s fine if they are a little uneven in size.

Then spray a muffin tin with non stick cooking spray and place each crescent roll pieces in the tin to prevent them from sticking.
Pinch together the two sides in each muffin tin to create a little cup.
Again, no need for them to be perfect 😉

Fill each with some of the cheese first.

Then a frozen meatball and spoon the pizza or marinara sauce over top.

And top with more cheese!

And a sprinkle of garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Now they are ready for the oven.
They will bake in a 375 degree oven for 14 to 16 minutes.

These Meatball Sub Bites were our dinner that I served with some frozen french fries and a salad. Everyone highly approved!

But I do plan to make them again for our next game day snack!

YUM!
