This easy and kid friendly recipe for Crispy Tortilla Crust Pizza was a success!
There used to be a pizza place around here that made the most amazing crispy thin crust pizzas.
Well, since they aren’t around anymore this is my attempt at recreating it at home.
The sky is the limit for topping choices of course.
But for my first crispy crust pizza I went with the classic pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni.
How to make Crispy Tortilla Crust Pizza
The first step is making sure your oven is preheated to 450 degrees.
Then set a cast iron skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
Spread the olive oil evenly and add your flour tortilla.
No need for the skillet to heat up first.
Spread the sauce evenly over the soft tortilla.
Then add the mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and pepperoni.
I just took the mozzarella cheese all the way to the edge, no need for crust so why not take advantage of more space for cheese, right?!
Finally some Italian seasoning goes over top.
Let this hang out on the stove for about 3 to 5 minutes, just until the cheese starts melting.
Then finish it in the 450 degree oven for 4 to 5 minutes.
Ooey gooey cheesy heaven sizzling away on the crispiest, thinnest crust…YUM!
Slide the pizza onto a cutting board and slice it up and serve!
You can see just how thin this Crispy Tortilla Crust Pizza is, and oh so delicious as well 🙂

Crispy Tortilla Crust Pizza
Crispy Tortilla Crust Pizza starts on the stove in a skillet and then finished in the oven for a thin and crispy crust
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 large, burrito size tortilla
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- garlic powder
- 12 slices pepperoni
- Italian seasoning
Set a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat (I used cast iron). You do not need to let it preheat. Add the olive oil and spread it evenly and add the flour tortilla.
Spread the pizza sauce over the tortilla, sprinkle the cheese over top and garlic powder. Place the pepperoni slices over the cheese and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Keep the pizza on the stove until the cheese starts to melt (approx 3 to 5 minutes). Place the skillet in a 450 degree oven for 4 to 5 more minutes.
Carefully remove from skillet, slide onto a cutting board and slice.
