Grape and Blue Cheese Flatbreads
Even as I am typing this, a recipe for Grape and Blue Cheese Flatbreads sounds like such an odd combo.
I had something similar at a restaurant and wanted to recreate it.
My family was all like “Ummm…Ok this is weird” but once they tasted it, their feelings very much changed to “Oh my goodness this is amazing!”.
Something about the sweetness from the grapes and honey and the saltiness of the blue cheese just works đŸ™‚
Stonefire Naan Flatbreads are my go to for flatbreads.
These can be baked in the oven or smoked on the Traeger pellet grill.
Whichever cooking method you choose, start by brushing the flatbreads with olive oil.
How to make Grape and Blue Cheese Flatbreads
First sprinkle a cup and a half of shredded mozzarella cheese over top.
Then blue cheese crumbles, red grapes that have been sliced in half, and candied walnuts.
I smoked my flatbreads on my Traeger smoker at 375 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes right on the grill grate.
If baking they will go into a 375 degree oven on a baking sheet for 12 to 14 minutes.
The crust will be slightly crisp and the cheese all melted and ooey gooey đŸ™‚
Sprinkle a little fresh thyme over top of the Grape and Blue Cheese Flatbreads.
Oh, and a drizzle honey over top as well.
YUM!
