Air Fryer Bacon Chicken Bites
Air Fryer Bacon Chicken Bites are a super easy recipe, super crispy, and oh SO yummy!
My sister makes a very similar appetizer, only she bakes hers in the oven.
I was craving them so I decided to give them a try in the air fryer.
How to make Air Fryer Bacon Chicken Bites
I wasn’t certain of her exact ingredients for the sweet and spicy coating.
My version is brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, ground red pepper, kosher salt, and pepper.
Simply throw it all in a bowl and then whisk together until evenly mixed.
Once the sweet and spicy coating is whisked together, it’s time to prepare the bacon and the chicken.
I cut eight slices of bacon into thirds, pretty much each piece was 4 inches.
And cut the chicken breasts into inch size pieces.
Set up the coating station like this and get to coating the bacon chicken bites in the brown sugar mixture 🙂
Wrap each piece of chicken in a small bacon slice, it will overlap slightly.
Place into the brown sugar mixture.
Flip it around and make sure all sides are well coated.
I even pressed slightly to make sure it would stick.
Place right into the air fryer basket, seam side down.
Then set the air fryer to 390 degrees for 14 to 18 minutes, depending on how crispy you prefer your bacon.
Also, depending on the size of your air fryer they may need to be done in two smaller batches.
Our Air Fryer Bacon Chicken Bites were perfect for us at the 15 minute mark.
They do crisp up slightly as they come to room temp.
Sweet, spicy, smoky from the bacon…YUM!
This amazing appetizer sure won’t last long!
