Donut Bacon Grilled Cheese
What do you do with leftover glazed donuts? Well, you make a recipe for Donut Bacon Grilled Cheese, of course!
You could make them in a skillet… or several at once on your Blackstone griddle.
A sweet, cheesy, salty breakfast that has juuuuust right amount of over the top flare 🙂
Heck, this doesn’t even have to be breakfast…a treat that you could enjoy any time of day, a breakfast for dinner idea, or the PERFECT late night snack!
All you need are bacon, cheese, glazed donuts, and a little butter 🙂
How to Make Donut Bacon Grilled Cheese
Cook 4 slices of bacon any way you prefer…skillet, microwave, or Blackstone griddle.
Then slice two glazed donuts in half lengthwise.
And set a skillet or your Blackstone over medium low heat.
Once it’s heated, add the butter and when the butter is melted place the bottom half of the donuts cut side down.
Then put a slice of cheese on each and two slices of bacon.
Add another slice of cheese and top each with the top half of the donut, cut side up.
These will cook 2 to 3 minutes per side, and using a spatula to press them down slightly helps to hold them together a bit.
Oh me Oh my! Just look at that golden brown, melty, cheesy creation!
Droolworthy for sure!
Time to dig into Donut Bacon Grilled Cheese 🙂
Messy sandwich alert…you’ll need a wet nap or a good handwashing after these. But SO worth it.
We had these with fried eggs on the side, and let me just say dipping them into the egg yolks made these even more magical.
