Air Fryer Homemade Garlic Bread

Air Fryer Homemade Garlic Bread

So I was pretty excited to try this recipe for Air Fryer Homemade Garlic Bread!

When I was telling my oldest daughter that I was making homemade garlic bread in the air fryer, she was like “WOW mom,…homemade bread?!

That’s so impressive!”

Ummmm…well, I had to break the news that I didn’t actually homemake the bread.

But still making fresh bought bakery bread into garlic bread counts as homemade, right?!

Hey, I’m a busy working mom so I think anytime I put a decent meal on the table it’s impressive 😉

How to make Air Fryer Homemade Garlic Bread

The garlic butter is simple enough to prepare.

Some olive oil, butter, garlic paste, Italian seasoning, grated parmesan, kosher salt, and pepper go into a small saucepan.

Keep this over low heat until it’s just melted.

garlic paste and butter

Ok, let’s talk garlic paste for just a second. I use it in almost every dish that requires garlic.

It’s SO easy and I feel like it tastes just as good as minced garlic.

I’m a home cook, not a chef, and it’s one of my greatest time saving tricks ever.

It’s super easy to find in the refrigerated produce section with the herbs and keeps fresh for a long time in the fridge.

Obviously fresh minced garlic can be substituted.

melted garlic butter

Brush the melted butter over a loaf of fresh Italian bread that’s been cut in half lengthwise.

I also cut each half in half again to fit in my air fryer.

You may also need to use a spoon to get all the garlic and cheese onto the bread.

Now they are ready for the air fryer.

I did mine in two batches, only two would fit in my air fryer basket.

It worked out well though because as we were ready for seconds of the bread, it was hot and fresh right out of the air fryer.

Set the air fryer to 350 degrees for 5 minutes.

Yes, 5 minutes is all it takes!

Ingredients

  • 1 10 to 12 oz loaf fresh Italian bread (I got mine from the bakery section of the grocery store)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 Tbsps olive oil
  • 2 1/2 Tbsps garlic paste or minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • kosher salt, pepper
  • Optional: fresh minced parsley

Instructions

  1. Cut the bread in half lengthwise, and then cut into pieces that will fit in your air fryer (I ended up with four pieces total)

  2. In a small saucepan over low heat add butter, olive oil, garlic, grated parmesan, Italian seasoning and kosher salt and pepper to taste. Stir occasionally until melted and remove from heat.

  3. Lay the bread cut side up and brush with the butter mixture, you may need to use a spoon to get all of the cheese and garlic and spread evenly over the bread.

  4. Place the bread in the air fryer with the buttered side up. Set the air fryer to 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Serve with fresh parsley over top if desired.

Note: Depending on the size of your air fryer you may need to do this in two batches.
