Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken Sliders

Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken Sliders

This recipe for Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken Sliders were just as good as deep fried but a lot less calories.

I am a huge fan of King’s Hawaiian Sweet Slider Buns, so anytime I can come up with new easy slider recipe I get very excited.

This time I am using my air fryer (shocker 😉 ) to make crispy chicken for the sliders.

Boneless skinless chicken thighs are what I prefer to use.

They stay juicy and don’t dry out like chicken breasts tend to do.

How to Make Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken Sliders

Cut four large thighs in half and place them in a gallon size plastic bag.

Add buttermilk, hot sauce, garlic powder, kosher salt, and pepper.

Massage the bag until evenly combined and marinate in the fridge overnight.

When ready to cook them put a cup of flour in a bowl.

Season the flour with more garlic powder, kosher salt, and pepper.

Then spray the air fryer basket with non stick cooking spray.

Next place each piece of chicken into the flour and then into the air fryer basket.

Another spray of the non stick cooking spray over top and turn the air fryer to 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

It comes out crispy golden brown and even looks just like if you deep fried them.

While the chicken was cooking in the air fryer I set out my King’s Hawaiian Sweet Slider Buns, lettuce, pickles, and spicy mayo.

You could of course add any other toppings you prefer such as tomatoes, onions, and even cheese.
