Breaded Air Fryer Chicken Wings
My husband loves going to Hooters for the breaded chicken wings (or so he claims đŸ˜‰ ). He was pretty excited though when I told him I could make a copycat recipe version of Breaded Air Fryer Chicken Wings at home.
I’m sure this won’t stop him from still wanting to go to Hooters from time to time.
But it’s nice knowing he can have these wings whenever he wants.
My air fryer is big enough to make 10 to 12 wings at once.
How to Make Breaded Air Fryer Chicken Wings
Start by spraying the air fryer basket with non stick spray and set up your breading station.
Two beaten eggs in one bowl, seasoned flour in another bowl, and the wings that have been pat dry.
My first batch I single breaded them and they just weren’t, ummmmm….Hooter-y enough so we tried double breading. That’s the way to go!
So each wing goes into the egg first, then the flour, back into the egg, and once more in the flour.
Place them in the air fryer basket as you bread them.
Then a good spray over top with the non stick spray.
These will take 25 to 28 minutes to achieve the perfect level of crispiness.
I recommend letting them sit in the air fryer basket for a few minutes and then remove them with tongs.
I did have some stick a little, but wiggling back and forth once they cooled off a bit worked best for me.
Put the wings in a container with a lid.
And pour your favorite wing sauce over top and put the lid back on.
Give them a shake so they are perfectly coated.
As you can see, these Breaded Air Fryer Chicken Wings have the perfect Hooter-like breading made at home!
They were super crisp, literally almost just like they were fried.
YUM!
