For an easy weeknight dinner ready in minutes, try this recipe for Air Fryer Chicken and Waffles!
I have made homemade Chicken and Waffles quite a few times.
And have even made Chicken and Waffle Casserole. But I am going easy peasy for this recipe!
I mean, this starts with frozen chicken strips and frozen belgian waffles…
So we weren’t expecting them to taste homemade, but they really did.
But seriously, everyone was so surprised how incredible these were.
Here is how to make Air Fryer Chicken and Waffles
Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips go into the air fryer basket first.
Set the air fryer to 380 degrees for 12 minutes.
Then arrange the chicken strips so that two frozen Belgian waffles will fit.
Mine just barely fit, but it worked!
Set the air fryer to 380 degrees for 3 more minutes.
While they are air frying away, make a hot sauce syrup to drizzle over top.
This sauce just might be my favorite part of this meal.
Simply combine 100% pure maple syrup with a few dashes of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce.
For sure use the real maple syrup here and not the processed stuff.
It’s just not the same.
Serve the Air Fryer Chicken and Waffles with three pieces of chicken per waffle.
And of course that amazing sweet and spicy maple syrup drizzled over top.
Golden brown chicken and crispy waffles served in literally 15 minutes.
This one will easily become a new favorite weeknight meal around here 🙂

Air Fryer Chicken and Waffles
Air Fryer Chicken and Waffles is by far the easiest way to make chicken and waffles, the air fryer makes them super crispy and yummy!
- 6 frozen chicken strips (I used Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips)
- 2 frozen Belgian waffles
- 1/3 cup 100% pure maple syrup
- 5-10 dashes Frank's Red Hot Sauce (depending on how spicy you prefer)
Place the frozen chicken strips in the air fryer basket. Set it to 380 degrees for 12 minutes.
Arrange the chicken so the waffles will fit in the basket. Put the waffles in the air fryer basket with the chicken. Set the air fryer to 380 degrees for 3 minutes.
Note: If the waffles won't fit with the chicken, cook the chicken 15 minutes total and remove, then cook the waffles for 3 minutes separately.
Mix together the maple syrup and hot sauce in a bowl.
Serve with the chicken strips over the waffles and drizzle with the hot sauce syrup.
